
The aim of the group is to provide a secure place for parents and children to meet and share experiences and ideas in an environment that is fun and informative. The group’s main focus is on Early Intervention.
See and Learn is an evidence-based, structured teaching programme which teaches speech, language and reading skills in small steps for children with Down syndrome up to 6 years of age. The programme is designed to help educators and parents provide young children with additional support and practice they need to learn language.

DSK operate tearooms from Deenagh Lodge in the National Park in Killarney from early April to September . The aim and focus of this project is to train our young adults in the hospitality sector with a view to gaining employment within this area.

”Employment, Inclusion and Learning” Is a three-module programme focusing on Latch On which is a literacy and technology course. Mote which focuses on politics and decision making and Workskills which prepares our young adults to take on employment. The programme is taught by qualified teachers accredited to the programme and assisted by tutors. This course is facilitated in MTU Tralee. Our branch provides the following social activities: swimming lessons, cycling, zumba, drumming, basketball, cookery lessons, music therapy and horse riding. All of these activities are subsidised by the branch and are available to members throughout the county.
